80percentsilver.com is a small, independent project. This page describes, in plain language,
exactly what we collect, why, and how to see or remove your information. It applies to this site
and its email/MCP endpoints only.
What we collect
Email address — only if you submit it through the signup form to get the
free starter guide.
Signup timestamp and source — which form you used, for our own records.
Standard server logs — our host, Cloudflare, automatically logs request
metadata (e.g. IP address, browser type) for security and reliability. We don't use this for
tracking or marketing, and we don't combine it with your email.
We use no cookies, no analytics, and no third-party trackers on this site.
The calculator itself (melt value, junk silver, bulk lot) runs entirely in your browser — the
numbers you type in are never sent to us or stored anywhere.
How we use it
To email you the free 2-page starter guide.
To send occasional newsletter emails — junk silver finds, pricing tips, and site updates.
We do not sell, rent, or share your email with advertisers or any other third party for their
own use.
Affiliate links
Some outbound links on this site (e.g. to bullion dealers) are affiliate links — we may earn a
commission if you make a purchase through one, at no extra cost to you. These are plain links, not
trackers: clicking one doesn't send us or the dealer any of your personal data, and the affiliate
relationship has no connection to your email address or KV record. Every affiliate link on the
site is labeled as such where it appears.
Who processes it on our behalf
Resend
— sends the emails. Resend retains its own delivery logs (recipient, subject, status) for 30
days, then they're purged automatically.
Cloudflare — hosts this site and stores your email in our database
(Cloudflare KV) until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Spot price sources (gold-api.com, frankfurter.dev) — we query these for
public silver/gold prices only; no personal data is ever sent to them.
How long we keep it
Your email stays in our records until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Unsubscribing
stops all future emails; we keep a minimal record of that request only so we don't accidentally
email you again.
Your choices
Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link.

to request a copy of what we hold on you, or to have it deleted outright.
Children
This site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone
under 13.

If what we collect or how we use it ever changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
